From Humble Beginnings to a Community Lifeline

Women’s Hospital, Ambajipeta was founded in 1967 through the vision and service of Dr. Irene Leeser from Germany and Nurse Sylvia Wright from New Zealand. What began as a small 4-room facility has grown into a 200-bed hospital, serving thousands of patients each year with quality medical care.

Today, Women’s Hospital continues to stand as a trusted place of healing and compassion in East Godavari District.
